Harsh Binani - Smartworks Co-Founder

Harsh Binani is an Indian Entrepreneur and co-founder of Smartworks India's largest managed space provider. Harsh Binani started small but always believed in getting big.

Harsh is an alumnus of Northwestern University -Kellogg School of Management, Illinois with an MBA degree in business studies. He is an Economics graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.


He also holds the CFP (Centre for Financial Planning) designation in the areas of risk management, investment and retirement planning.


Harsh Binani started off working in the industry through opportunities that presented themselves to him to get experience in order to help him with his long-term plans. With over seven years of work experience in the field of real estate and management consulting, he has previously worked with "Mckinsey" the world's premier consulting firm in Chicago.


Over the course of his five years with Mckinsey the firm, he was focused on operational and strategic issues involving infrastructure, insurance, and healthcare.


He also worked as an Assistant Chief of Staff at Medanta Medicity, spearheading key strategic initiatives for the CEO.


Harsh Binani was introduced to the latest workspaces in his time abroad, which made clear to him the future of his career.


He chose that he wanted to work with Neetish Sarda who himself was developing with enthusiasm his latest venture, Smartworks.


Harsh Binani joined Smartworks in 2017, bringing in more passion, ideas and a dazzling people skills to Smartworks' table.


With the addition of Harsh Binani alongside Neetish Sarda Smartworks had an explosive growth that led to innovative ways of making the work environment a more enjoyable experience.


At first Smartworks Harsh Binani was created as a co working space, but Harsh Binani as well as Neetish Sarda quickly realized that to be an overcrowded market which had no innovation in regards to offerings, technology, or even the intended audience.


Once they had narrowed down their customer base, they decided to provide services to Harsh Binani who was looking to break into larger enterprises, which was a challenge in itself.


Large corporations were already set in traditional workspaces that had fixed patterns and limited options.


After initial setbacks and feedback, Harsh Binani returned time and time over to the drawing room creating a new plan on how can be the key in changing the perception of large companies.


After much research, changed methods and pitching ideas, it happened! Smartworks found their first client and from that point on, it's always been a high way.


Smartworks witnessed an exponential increase in the last 5 years of this journey. It was aided by unfailing support from the entire team.


Harsh Binani believes that it is important to make sure that you are a believer in the concept that you are pitching before you make any other clients believe in it.

Presently, Smartworks is India's largest supplier of flexible workspaces with an area of approximately. 5 million square. feet. over 32 locations in 9 cities across Delhi-NCR, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, along with Pune) and caters to more than 400 organizations across Fortune 500 companies.
